The Bible says;

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
⁶ in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

The above verse simply means that you can trust the Lord with part of your heart. It simply means that you can choose to simply allow God in parts of your life. Most people do this and that’s why it emphasizes on trusting in Him with all your heart.

Most people have allowed God in parts of their lives but not their whole life. This is why they toil in the parts they haven’t allowed God in. Most people have only allowed God in what they term as crucial e.g. fighting evil spirits, health, and enemies.

Because they haven’t allowed Him in all of their lives that’s why you will see very rich and wealthy people suffering from terminal diseases. This is why you would see some prospering in life but have very broken families. This is why you would see someone abounding in very good health but lacking in life.

Most think that allowing God in the very minute things like in how they breath or laugh is too much. They think God is for fighting big battles only. Because the world taught them that they need to toil, and that money is evil, they think that He is not involved in their wealth. This explains why most only seek Him when there is a crisis at their workplaces, when they are lacking etc.

This is because most people lean on their own understanding. You have heard the phrase, ‘use your brain’ right? Whether you like it or not, stupidly or wisely you will still use your brain. Has using your carnal brain ever given you the God kind of life? There are times you have used it and you thought that you were wise, how come things never worked the way you wanted?

The mind of the flesh doesn’t give life but the mind of the Spirit is life;

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:6

Your brain cannot give you eternal life. Man is fallen and descendent and he needs to cling to that which is transcendent which is the spirit of God. You may have heard motivational speakers saying, ‘believe in yourself.’ But can you?

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

1 Corinthians 3:18-20 NKJV

Think of the wisest man you know. The wisest philosophers, intellectuals or the affluent that do not acknowledge God but fully rely on their knowledge. The Bible says that the Lord knows that their wisdom is futile. On the other hand, the wise in the Spirit are eternal. They look foolish to the world but they have the infallible wisdom of God.

The world teaches us to consult the ‘intellect’, the ‘experienced’ and the ‘learned’. Men of God with wisdom that come from the eternal realm are neglected because they aren’t learned and are not ‘experienced’ in handling matters men consider pressing.

In turn, children of God rely on the wisdom of the world on how to build businesses, how to love, how to hear from God, how to be wise, how not to be scammed etc. They are taught to take control of their own lives through experience, knowledge and the wisdom of the world. In turn, they falter and fail because they rely on the futile wisdom of the world.

The bible says in Provers 3:7 that you should not be wise in your own eyes. Most people are wise in their own eyes because the world has taught them to use what they call ‘common sense’. The world teaches them to rely only on their five senses caging them into what they physically see, hear, smell, taste and touch.

Jesus came to completely distort their knowledge. God has done the same through generations. A man of God walks completely naked for 3 years which is complete folly unto man. Jesus uses mud to heal a blind man; a very bizarre thing for man. A whole Messiah (God) dies naked on a cross; another ironical thing for the carnal man.

God will constantly talk about losing saying that to lose is to gain but the world will teach the child of God that they have to gain the world and protect what they have gained so that they don’t lose it again. The world will teach the child of God that they need to gain education to live a happy and successful life, they need to surround themselves with connected people to be successful and they need to have a certain decorum to make it in life.

Most have tried these tricks but they all end up to be futile. Jesus talks about losing that mentality to gain a new one. He talks about even losing the love for your own life. The world will emphasize on loving yourself and cherishing yourself above all things but Jesus disagrees. He says;

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

John 12:25 NKJV

The above verse doesn’t mean that you kill yourself. It doesn’t mean that you dislike yourself. It simply means that you prioritize God. It simply means that you seek Him first and His kingdom because in seeking Him, you are seeking yourself.

The world has fooled the child of God into believing a lie. The world will give him phrases like, ‘You Only Live Once (YOLO)’ Wrong! You live eternally and eternal life starts here on earth. Ironically, people of the world are deeply spiritual. They in their dark ways lose their pleasures, wealth and even family members for dominion. The child of God is left with the mentalities of ‘using their brain’ to protect the tiny wealth they have and keep wishing and praying to God for dominion.

Dear child of God, seek the Lord. He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Don’t think that all the information and knowledge you have is all that encapsulates God. There are higher truths, there is a lot for you to learn. Don’t think that all you have is all there is, there are higher realms and higher dominion. In all your ways, submit to the Lord and He will surely make your path straight.
