I want you to carefully read this;
When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
2nd Kings 4:32-37 NKJV
Now see what his spiritual father, Elijah also did
And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.” Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.
1 Kings 17:21-22 NKJV
Read this other one;
And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
Exodus 17:11-13 NKJV
And this other one;
The ravens would bring him bread and meat in the morning and evening, and he would drink from the brook.
1 Kings 17:6 NKJV
Explore this other one as well;
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.
2nd Kings 7:3-7 NKJV
Read this last one;
When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.
John 9:6-7 NKJV
If you can explain any of the above, then you can discredit what miracles are all about. If you can use Science or Physics to explain the above miracles. I can tell you 100% that you do not need the spiritual life as everything of yours can be answered in the physical. I also affirm to you that you do not really need God you as can reverse engineer and manufacture your own miracles.
The sad thing with the child of God is that they desire miracles but they want miracles that they can understand and decipher. They have a template of how their miracles should be. Let’s say they want a miracle in their finances, they will want God to work through either their jobs or their rich counterparts.
Most children of God want the supernatural to work for them in a certain way. This is now the true definition of limiting the Holy One of Israel. Expecting that a miracle must come through your rich uncle, or through a promotion at your work place is simply limiting God.
Who said God cannot just bless you regardless of whether you are jobless or not or whether you are educated or not? Who said God cannot lavish you with all the good things even without any source of income? The child of God has been assimilated and now thinks like a heathen.
The heathen has lied to them that education is the key to success and that’s why anybody who succeeds without education, without formal employment nor powerful connections is either a thief, a drug dealer or a devil worshipper. Anyone without education is looked down upon and those with titles are highly praised.
The child of God forgets that the devil wants the ‘devil worshipper’ narrative to be constant on people’s lips. He knows it erodes the faith that good things come from God. He wants to deceive the child of God that good things only come from him. He wants the rich and those in the top tier to be attributed to Him.
As a child of God, never find yourself talking about the devil. Let him not be on your lips. Even if it is true some people are worshipping him, never find yourself talking about it. Why? He wins either way. Bad publicity is good publicity for him. He wants to be known for the wrong reasons because that’s who he is. You can never expose the devil.
If Elisha or Elijah were doing the same miracles today, they would be rotting in jail. Why? They will be accused of sexual immorality with minors. The wayward child of God reads through their miracles as fairy tales.
If a man of God today were to lock himself in a room with a boy and lie on him eye to eye and mouth to mouth. That would be the end of him. Others will say they are in the practice of satanism because they are sleeping with a dead body.
The child of God cannot understand why a whole God (Jesus) will put mud in someone’s eyes. Scientifically to them, it doesn’t add up. The child of God forgets that miracles are here to defy Science and all carnal knowledge.
Because they are totally deceived, everything to them has to make sense. It has to be vetted by the ‘experts’ in the field and have the majority positive public opinion. People think that persecution stopped with the saints, they forget that the modern persecution is worse than that.
The world has taught the child of God to believe everything they see and the devil has them chained on that. They have relegated the power of the Holy Spirit. They can not believe in an invisible realm. They have relegated it to ‘New Age’ religion and fantasy.
People like us who defy the structures and standards of the world are called heretics and false teachers. According to them, people should be aware of people like us as we teach something that’s not approved by their teachers. They forget that it might be very hard to learn matters of the spirit in a formal institution.
This explains why so much churches are struggling. This explains why they have been formalized to corporate setting where the rich are given preferential treatment in a way to have them support the church’s projects. They forget that God also provides through ravens.
Ask yourself, why did God use ravens? A raven is such an ugly bird. It is an omnivorous that feeds on just but anything including scavenging on rotting carcass. Why didn’t he use an eagle or a more beautiful bird? Because the church cannot discern some miracles, some miracles will just remain in the realm of, “Wow… God is so powerful, He fed Elijah.” But with what?
How about they went deeper to see that some bird which is not an eagle nor a dove can fund church projects? How about they think, “Wait, God can even use a vulture.” It is sad that most times, the ‘vultures’, the least considered people in church are the ones that become the chief cornerstone.
Miracles are meant to be bizarre. It is also shocking that God, most times will put us through trying situation so that His glory may be seen. Remember the disciples asking Him who sinned while healing the blind man?
Miracles have been reduced to God’s providence. Miracles these days are just bonuses from workplaces or your uncle sending you money that they promised. The Oxford English dictionary defines a miracle as:
“An extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency.”
Quick questions:
- Can money that you received from your uncle be a miracle?
- Can bonuses that you received from your workplace be counted as a miracle?
- Can the tender or job that you received from your connections be counted as miracles?
A miracle has to be extraordinary. It has to be beyond all odds. It has to be unexpected such that it can only be connected to the divine. It is not a miracle that you woke up in the morning. The church has really lost its potency such that normal things are exemplified as miracles and when real miracles now happen they are attributed to the devil.
Miracles are not just actions. They are not just happenings. No. They are a dimension. There are people who experience them frequently. Miracles are a place, not necessarily the result of an action. They cannot be reverse engineered but they can be ‘captured’. They cannot be taught but they can be imparted.
All you need is faith. Most people think that faith is just caught in a snap of a finger. Well no. Faith is worked on. It is built. For anything that is built, there needs to be a foundation, a plan, etc. This is why Jesus says with faith as small as a mustard seed you can do miracles.
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20 NKJV
He continues to days that working miracles is for those that believe.
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:17 NKJV
The question remains, “How willing are you work to believe and work your faith?” Do you realize that you cannot please God without faith?
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
Do you want to dive into the realm of miracles? Well, it is never too late to start. Start by being consumed by miracles. Start thinking about miraculous happenings in your life and slowly build your faith towards that. After all He says;
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV
