You Are Your Own Worst Enemy?

Most self-help books and motivational speakers say that you are your own worst enemy. They say that you are the enemy within. This simply means that you are your own cancer, you eat yourself up. A simpler explanation than that would be, ‘You are so dumb to willingly make a mess of yourself.’

As a child of God you should realize that you were born of God. The Bible says that the world was formless and void but I assure you that you did not come from nothingness. Genesis 2:7 (KJV) says that:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Until God breathed His Spirit onto man, man was just a piece of clay. We came not from nothingness but from the Spirit of God. The spirit that we have is from God. The life that we have is from God, we are from God and we have value. Therefore, we can never be our own worst enemy because God did not create any creature and put it on a self-destruct mode.

Man fell and he became adulterated. He was adulterated by his consciousness. Man was made perfect and in the image of His creator. He was a God himself as he was given dominion over everything God created. It is what man allows to dominate him that adulterates him not man himself.

When man accepts the fallacy that man is his own worst enemy, he simply acknowledges that he is up to no good, that his Creator created a defective being that constantly, without any external force, messes itself.

What is Life?

Man fell. But he continues to fall deeper by what he knows or what he constantly exposes himself to. Man renders himself powerless over everything, he thinks of himself so lowly and worships what he thinks is superior to him.

This explains why a man can sell his vision, his dreams, his life-changing innovation and even his soul over money. This explains why man becomes a slave to people who feed him or have assisted him in life. This is why man constantly looks down upon himself waiting for a Saviour to rescue him again and again.

In Genesis 2:7 we see that God breathed into man to give him life. In John 20:22 (NKJV), when Jesus made his first appearance after resurrection, He breathed life onto the apostles:

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

After man fell, he lost ‘life’. And the Bible journeys us through stories of how man needed a saviour. Jesus came and gave life to man and that’s why He says in John 10:10 (NKJV) that:

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

It is sad that man cannot interpret what life is. Man thinks that life is just that holiday in Hawaii and Miami and being able to buy the best. Yes, it involves that but there is much more.

Life is about having what money can buy and what it cannot and getting to enjoy it to the fullest. Life is about being oblivious of things like Corona or any other diseases. Life is about going to get service and that bitter and disrespectful customer service officer serves you with great glee and respect. Life is about getting unbelievable favours from strangers.

Life is about seeing your spouse every day for 50+ years and loving her more and more. Life is about breathing the air, which many say is polluted and feeling life in every breath. Life is about the green light changing every time you are on the way to run your errands. Life is about eternal laughter and joy.

Some of you might not believe this. Actually most people believe this in theory but not really happening to them. It is hard for people to believe that there are people who live on this earth and they have no problem whatsoever. The devil has made them think that life is a series of ups and downs and that’s why their church leaders would even pronounce things like:

For richer for poorer

In sickness and in health

For better for worse etc

If I may ask, Did Jesus want us to be poor? Does He want you to be sick? Would He want someone who carries His Spirit, His breath of life to live the worst life? The devil fell like lightning and he was stripped off everything that he owned in heaven and he cannot have a share in what God created.

The devil can only get to control God’s creation from he who has dominion over the creation. Man dominates creation. Yes, you own all the cars, all the fancy buildings and all the wealth in this world. You actually own the gold and silver. but sadly with false beliefs you gave the devil control.

This is why heathens are the richest people we know but time has come for you, the remnant, to take all that. Christ came and restored dominion to you and that’s why there is no more sacrifice needed. Stop giving dominion to the devil buy believing in his lies.

The Enemy Within

The enemy within is not you but the devil. The devil has adulterated man into thinking that life must have bitter moments and it may occasionally have pain. The devil has perfectly implanted into men that they are weak that they own nothing and they are under the mercies of fate.

The enemy within is not you but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that you are continuously eating. You are perfect, you were created in the image of God and that’s why He says in John 14:12-14

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Why would Jesus be stern like a Maths teacher affirming verily verily? This is because He was so sure of what He was saying. In short He was saying, “I have no doubt in what I am saying. Let no one tell you otherwise!”

It is so easy to believe other worldly authority like our bosses when they say something like, “I assure you, I will protect your job during this retrenchment.” and not God who is the Creator of those bosses. Do you know why?

Most do not know God and neither have they seen Him. They have just heard him in other men’s lips and have seen Him working wonders in other peoples’ lives.

You cannot believe whom you don’t know. You cannot believe who you cannot see unless there is one who lives in you to reveal to you about Him. Most people actually know the devil because they see him everyday and have experienced him making ruin in their lives therefore they believe in him.

Others think that they know God not knowing that they know the devil who masquerades as an angel of light in their lives.

The reason why most cannot believe that one can live a life TOTALLY FREE of problems is because they have not experienced that life themselves. They have too much in them that hinders them from embracing that life.

The reason why some will laugh and think that it is impossible to pass through green lights in traffic or because it is such a petty thing, is because they think that God cannot operate in some levels.

They think that God’s work is to fight the devil in their lives and has got no time for petty things like smooth transition of activities in their lives. They have not tasted nor seen that a life of bliss is possible.

Since the devil masquerades as the angel of light, most people make him their god. That’s why they will believe facts and histories and not healing because they believe what they see with their physical eyes. People who experience healing believe in healing because they believe in a higher power that heals.

The enemy within is the devil, the devil that convinces and makes it factual to you that you cannot live a life without problems. The enemy within is what you have made to be your god. The enemy within is that which you worship be it money, status, people etc.

The enemy within is that thought you lodge in your mind. That thought that tells you you need to protect yourself and help yourself because God helps those who help themselves which is a big lie. The enemy within is that version of Christ that you were taught about.

The enemy within can be that Church you go to or that spiritual father you seek knowledge from. Well, you shall know them by their fruits, not their talk. The enemy within can be that knowledge that puffs up.

The enemy within can be who you associate with. The enemy within can be where you are trying to find God – Moses found him in a burning bush or rather God found him in a bush. Are you even ready to be found?

I affirm to you. Verily verily, I say to you that you are not your own enemy. You were created perfect in God’s image. You can do all things and even greater things because you are made in charge of greater things than your life.

Jesus said that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. You would not be existing if you are your own enemy, you would have died before living. You are not on self-destruct mode. What destructs you is what you allow inside you. You are righteous. Yes, you are.

One With The Spirit

John 14:15-17 ESV
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

John 14:26 ESV
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Do you know why so many people are afflicted all sorts of infirmities, pain and problems? This is because they are of the world. The devil loves these people, he has them on his palm. Sadly, most Christians dwell here. Being of the world means you believe and are subscribed to finite things.

It means that you draw your belief from media, what men say about you, what facts and statistics define the life about you, the number of years the doctor decides to allocate to you based on your condition, what your teacher said about you not amounting to anything in life etc.

Most Christians claim that they believe in God but when something shakes them up they wail and panic and start paying for beds and oxygen beforehand in case they get COVID-19. Talk about building their houses on sand.

The Bible says that the world cannot receive the Spirit of God because they do not know him nor have they even seen him. It is so sad that most people only say, “It’s God” when something major happens e.g. them surviving a car accident. We forget that it takes God’s hand on life’s basic things like waking up or even passing that green light on every stop.

If one doesn’t commune with the Sprit of God, if one is not one with the Spirit of God then they cannot live an abundant life. They cannot life a life of fullness and joy. They will be miserable forever.

The only reason why those who worship in true and in Spirit live amazing lives is because the Holy Ghost constantly reminds them of what God says about them. Most Christians have crammed the Bible verses that they narrate to the world but do not actually live in it.

The enemy outside is the devil. The enemy within is still the devil. We do not have any other enemy but most think that the enemy within is themselves and the enemy outside is the devil. That’s why most think that so long as they go to Church read the Bible and give, they will have eternal life.

Actually the devil likes to work within; he loves the church and that’s why he has deceived so many who claim to be sons of God. Even the basic fear you have that is from the devil. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) says that:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

You were not created to be fearful. It was not part of you as God created you. You were created with power, love and sound mind. Can a person created with these attributes be their own worst enemy?

So how do we overcome the world? Simple – by being one with the Holy Ghost. This is the person to teach you all things and help you dispel the fallacy that has maybe become your truth.

Once you have the Holy Ghost, you are not on your own, you now have that someone to help you with the green light everywhere you go. Once you have him, you do not belong to the world. You do not even belong to yourself.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

And there is freedom dwelling with the Spirit of God. There is a life or pure bliss and joy and love and all manner of what the normal human being would say impossible. But at Silomasays, we say Impossibility is a myth!

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Conclusion

Any person, even the devil himself, will tell you that I am not writing this from my own accord. This is not the knowledge of research. This is not the knowledge of man. Flesh and blood has not revealed this to me. Knowledge from the Spirit of God cannot be gotten from books of Theology nor in the thoughts of men. It is revealed.

The devil works day and night to keep you away from the knowledge of truth. He will keep you from eating from the tree of life and cage you in religion.

It is time to open your mind. Aren’t you tired of fear? Of pain? Aren’t you tired of the headlines that fuel prices are going up, that your country is now sucking up in debt? Aren’t you tired of infirmity and countless problems? It is time to switch to the infinite and eternal side of life.

He says, “Draw near to me and I will draw near to you!”
