The Sympathetic Church

The Sympathetic Church

I have always wanted to write about this topic but I have been keeping it bottom of my list for quite a while now. Why is this so? Because many get offended. They feel attacked. The fact will always remain that, ‘The truth should offend you!’ Most times if it doesn’t, you are still into the finite human reasoning or in lower levels of truth.

Over and over again I have been so much offended by the truth. I had to teach myself to rise above the offence. I realized that there is a lot of unlearning and learning in the quest for spiritual enlightenment. The good thing, which apparently is a sad thing to many people is that there will always be higher truths.

All through the Bible, we see the Israelites, the Pharisees and their counterparts getting offended by new truths and because they were so stiff-necked and rigid. They chose not to unlearn their age old truths and they ended up murdering those that were sent to them. Religion confined them into finite reasoning that that they are right in their own eyes.

Today, the script is still the same. Religious persons who cannot come to terms with levels of truth continue to murder those that are sent to them. They forget that by doing that they are also murdering themselves; this explains their devastating health, financial status and social lives.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

Matthew 23:37 NKJV

I permanently resolved that there will always be higher truths than what I currently know. I accepted that I will always get offended by new truths because God is infinite and I am always moving from glory to glory.

Most Christians today think that what they know is the peak of all knowledge. They are assured that they know everything because they are born again and what they need is just the nourishing of that salvation through occasional prayer, reading the word and listening to encouraging sermons and reminders.

They believe nobody can or should challenge their thinking claiming that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. They believe that you need to know God once because He changes not. They believe that should you read Bible cover to cover you are good to go and that’s why they put so much trust in Theological studies.

This mindset explains why Jesus had such a hard time preaching where He grew from. The Bible says that he only did a few miracles in Nazareth. This was because people were too familiar and they had their hard truths about who the Messiah should be. They stuck to what they knew and nobody could convince them otherwise.

Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?

Matthew 13:55

Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Matthew 13:58 NKJV

God presents unto us two paths; one that gives life and another that leads to death. He even advises that we should choose the narrow path. Sadly, many do not choose this path because it offends others. Many choose the wide path because it has most people, it is safe and they will be understood.

This narrow road has been chosen by the few of us who are tired of the mental imprisonment of religion. The mental imprisonment of mere sympathy and encouragement. The mere sympathy of, ‘Leave it to the Lord. He knows what you are going through.’ I don’t want you to sympathize with me, I want you to equip me with spiritual weapons ready for battle.

When we preach or write about these things, we are called all sort of names and even blacklisted in some avenues. I have had serious fall outs with several men of God because of what I write. I am considered a heretic because of how I challenge their thinking and what they learnt in school.

For example, I asked one, “Why do you join two people in a ‘Holy’ church and make them vow for better for worse? Where did you get that from? Why can’t you say for better for better? Is it Biblical to bind two people into worse? I thought Jesus came to give us life and life in abundance?

They would not answer me outrightly. They would first get messed up by my question. They would quickly skim through their intellect for some scriptural backing but would find none. You could almost hear them ask themselves, “And by the way, why do we say worse?”

Sadly, the devil will catapult them into the finite human reasoning and they will devilishly say, “It is because marriages have challenges and we have to prepare the bride and groom that no matter what happens they should stick with their spouses.” That’s when the Lord whispers to me, “If this is the shepherd’s thinking how about my sheep’s? Are you sure you are ready for this?”

I have been called all manner of names. Some have had to pray for me so that God can forgive my sins. Sadly, they I am into new age religion. To them, anything that doesn’t make sense is new age ungodly wisdom. Some remind me of the ‘good old days’ when I was a ‘deep and devout’ Christian where I could write encouraging posts. They tell me I should go back to encouraging children of God.

But I do not want that life, that life taught me to be a cub in a warzone. That life taught me that I was weak but God was all powerful. That life blinded me that there was totally nothing I could do because victory belonged to Jesus not me. Victory doesn’t just belong to Jesus, it belongs to you as well.

The sympathetic church knows nothing about why Christ came into the world. Most think that Jesus came to show off His might and splendor, to simply prove that God exists and that He cares for our troubles.

In real sense, this is what He came to do;

And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Luke 4:17-21 NKJV

After Jesus preached the above. They were irked, irritated and greatly offended. They actually wanted to push Him down the cliff. They were used to pastor so and so turning that scripture into some piece of encouragement. They were used to it being read as some history novel but a mere carpenter’s son tells them that that scripture is fulfilled in their hearing.

To really unmask the sympathetic church, let’s explore Mathew 17

And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”

Matthew 17:14-16 NKJV

Note how the man said that he brought his son to His disciples but they had no power to cure him. The disciples had entered the sympathetic mode. They were, like many Christians falsely encouraging themselves in the Lord, how? They would think and say to themselves, “This we cannot do, this is only Jesus that can handle.”

Is it bad to be sympathetic? No! The Bible says Jesus was moved with compassion. It is bad to replace your ability and power with cheap sympathy. Is it bad to wait upon the Lord? No! It is however bad to wait for the Lord in vain. What have you done/are you doing as you wait for the Lord? Some things are not even for waiting upon the Lord, the fields are ready for harvest.

So let’s see what Jesus said to His disciples

Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

Matthew 17:17-18 NKJV

Do you know the meaning of perverse? The Oxford English Dictionary describes perverse as: showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable. According to Jesus, the disciples were unreasonable to think that it is only Him that has all the power.

He thought of them as faithless to always think that Jesus will walk with them every day or will maybe go to heaven with them at His appointed time. It never clicked to them that they were the one to plant churches and take His gospel unto the four corners of the earth.

Today, Christians are behaving like the disciples. It is even worse because they would grapple in their darkness forgetting that they are the light of the world. The disciples would in secret go back to Jesus and yearn for these higher truths.

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Matthew 17:19-21 NKJV

Jesus talked about their unbelief and He gave them the solution which is faith. But where does faith come from? Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God. How many Christians want to hear today? Hearing simply means opening yourself to higher levels of truth.

Hearing comes from the word of God, not scriptures. Scriptures are just the mere texts in the Bible, word is when those scriptures become live and active. This is why Jesus says, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life…” He did not say you search the word.

This explains why Bible studies and Bible reading plans are pure nonsense if not done spiritually. This explains why you would attend several Bible studies for years and your life will never change. You will just know (or rather crammed) the scriptures and use them as sympathy and encouraging statements.

This is why the Lord will bring you men who have the revelation of the word to follow, revere and honor but most people will get offended and stone them and their lives will continue to be miserable. They will then go cry out to the Lord while the Lord answered them through men.

In the times of Jesus, the Israelites continued to cry out to the Lord but He had answered them by sending them a man. The Lord has sent me to open your eyes and give you the revelation of Him through these articles so don’t interact with them as mere encouraging blog posts.

I am here to tell you that the Lord’s purpose for your life has already been fulfilled as you read this article. Every man seeks a higher power; it is engrained in man’s spirit. If I may ask? What is liberty to you? Mere sympathy and assurance that God is in control? That you are powerless and He is all powerful? But He says that He gave you power;

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 1:12 KJV

Victory belongs to you. This is why He said that it is better that He goes so that we may receive the Christly anointing (the Holy Spirit). The same anointing that was in Him. This is what makes Him say, ‘More than these shall you do.’

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

John 16:7 NKJV

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

John 14:12 NKJV

When the Bible says that we are seated with Him in the heavenly places. That simply means that we have the power that Christ had when he walked through this earth. He did not come to merely save man from sin as many churches have explicitly believed. He came to demonstrate how you should live. That’s why the Bible says that He was tempted in all ways.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Hebrews 4:15 NIV

This is why Paul says that if you are in Him you are a new creation. The old has gone and the new has come. What is the new to you? My spiritual father recently taught that the new has got no past so do not let your past haunt you.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

What is the old? The old is relegating all scripture to sympathetic pieces and mere encouragement, and good words to calm you down. You may come across demonic statements like, “One day you will be great and you will partake in the greatness of the kingdom” or “We just suffer in this world because the real reward is in heaven.” That’s a lie, eternal life starts here on earth. This is why Jesus says;

Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

John 4:35 NKJV

The sympathetic church is so powerless that it uses carnal human ways to solve spiritual problems. For example, a brother will tell another after they have lost their job that, “The Lord in heaven has seen your cry. Don’t worry, the Lord is in control. Ensure you do not get depressed, you actually need to see a therapist but I am with you in prayer!”

The sympathetic church has relegated itself to preach about mere encouragement and false motivation through the scripture. Encouragement is not bad. It is bad to merely encourage a cub in a war of mongrels and bloodthirsty werewolves, it will be ripped apart in seconds. That is what is happening to the child of God every day.

Do you realize so many children of God are always looking for a better church? One that they will call home? Do you wonder why children of God who are at the core of their service to God in most churches are always struggling year after year?

The same church will advice them that it is not easy to serve the Lord as the devil is against them. They tell them that the devil will torture them but one day he will fail like how he failed with characters like Daniel, Meshack, Shadrack, Abednego.

The sympathetic church forgets the Daniels were equipped since day one. They forget that these young men had vowed not to contaminate themselves with any other truth apart from the truth of God. They even beat their flesh to refuse the king’s delicacies.

Since they do not know how to equip the saint, they will let the cub get ripped by the mongrels and always try to console and convince the cub that there is a lion, who apparently is his father that watches as He suffers but one day He will rescue them. They forget to tell the cub that the father, (the Lion of Judah) is always reaching out His hand to the cub.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Revelation 3:20 NKJV

Because they don’t know the Lion Himself, they will paint Him as a mere human who understand their needs. They paint Him as human father who is only as merciful as a man. They completely do not know the mercies of God nor His power. They forget that that father sent His children to wolves.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 NKJV

They forget that the Lion of Judah had already equipped His cubs and were now ready for battle. They are completely oblivious that that lion told His equipped cubs that in this world they will have tribulation but He has already overcome the world.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 NKJV

They forget that Jesus told his equipped lions to be ready for battle as things wouldn’t be easy. Things will not come by mere sympathy and encouragement. They forget that He taught them to be violent and that’s why you cannot just sweet talk a bloodthirsty mongrel. It is either your life or theirs;

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:12 NKJV

So practically, how do you handle difficulty? Look at the life of a soldier. If Christians really knew that they are soldiers they wouldn’t be brushed off by mere servants. It is so ironical that war servants are reaping from the plunder but should be the one providing amenities This is why the Bible says that princes are serving servants.

I have seen servants on horses, While princes walk on the ground like servants.

Ecclesiastes 10:7 NKJV

A soldier has only one mentality; the mentality to win the war. To take dominion, to usurp power from the enemy. The soldier doesn’t have the mentality of a cub. He doesn’t subscribe to the sympathetic church. He doesn’t need someone to tap him on the back and merely say, it is okay if you do not win, the Lord sees.

Wait, what!? It is okay that I stick to my level? The human level? It is okay for me to be trampled by the carnal ‘high and mighty’? Look at the lives of people like Jacob who decided to rather stay in prison than sleep with a powerful royal, the likes of Daniel who decided not to defile himself with palace delicacies and the likes of Paul who told King Agrippa that they cannot disobey the heavenly pattern.

A soldier’s knows that his country’s life is at stake, his family’s life is at stake. Question for you, “What is at stake in your life?” This is why only the violent win in this spiritual war. The violent that have decided that it is a do or die mission. The violent are not moved by people’s opinion but God’s. The violent do not do things to please the society but God. Everything about them is God.

We have a weak breed of Christians who have been trampled down by the devil because they have subscribed to the sympathetic church. They are always ‘waiting upon the Lord’ and are so confident that they do not have any power. All power belongs to God and not them they forget they are also gods.

I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.

Psalms 82:6 NKJV

We have a set of Christians who think that they are weak and depressed and they really need a therapist because the world is unfair to them and they might commit suicide. The sympathetic church that carries out the hell agenda tells them that there is nothing good in this world and that serving the Lord is hard but the true reward is in heaven.

Meanwhile, the world out there calls them and teaches them that all is bliss on the carnal side. Ask on the streets how many people would like to be a pastor or to serve in Church. You will not even get a handful. Why? Because we have painted it as the worst thing on earth and we have pushed so many from their true calling.

The sympathetic church forgets the Bible says that the Lord is our strength and salvation. It forgets that the Lord fights our battles and even if it does remember, it forgets to tell the child of God that He must be with God in that battle so that he can collect the spoils.

You are not weak. Unlearn the many negative things you have learnt from the sympathetic church. You are a royal priesthood. You are a warrior. Start engaging this spiritual warfare by not merely praying, reading the Bible and going to church. No! That’s not how you engage.

You engage by walking the word. It is simple, if the Bible says, you shall lend and not borrow, engage that. Never take a loan no matter what happens. In school, you learnt that if it is raining, hot or cold, you must go to school. It is ironical that people don’t put want much effort in this school of spiritual things but they want to reap big from it.

If the Bible says, the word of God is lamp under your feet, don’t just read it some fancy quote, live it, walk it in. Let it not just be fairy tales or words of mere encouragement.

Knock those doors fully aware of your position in the spirit. Subscribe to what is Godly, this is why we write these things for you. Switch off that Tv if it is the one distracting you. It is okay to leave that sympathetic church that tells you that you are powerless.

Leave that friendship if it is the one stalling your success. Always feed from one anointing. Don’t just listen to every minister. It is okay to be hated because you sought higher realities of life. It is okay to be called all sort of names because you don’t want to settle for the common.

Come to our fellowship and truly realize what it is to be a warrior. Come and fully get awakened on how to live a powerful spiritual life. Details are on the poster below (if you are reading on mobile) or on the right side of this post if you are reading from your laptop/desktop. ALL life is spiritual, nobody just rises. There are no physical means of rising to the top, one either gets to the top divinely or through the demonic. Your boss, the president, the union member, the rich man in your village etc either got those positions through the divine or the demonic.

Stop Merely Quoting Scriptures, Live Them

Stop Merely Quoting Scriptures, Live Them

Most Children of God merely quote scriptures when they face difficult times. They have made their bibles, places of worship and men of God golden calves in their lives. They want to be understood and words of encouragement through scripture to help them go through their hard times.
